Gator is an orange Jepp CJ-7 from the 80s. Gator has a boat inside and when he transforms the body folds up and the boat can jump out.
The toy featured Dusty Hayes with his Backlash mask. In the first wave of toys, in the U.S., the short (short) versions of the mask was there, from the second wave the long (long) versions. By the boxes you can see which version was in which box. See further down.
Also in the first wave Gator was not yet licensed as a Jeep, but simply an off-road vehicle. Only from the second wave it officially became a Jeep.
Gator was also used "privately", in episode 19 - Ghost Bomb it is used that Scott and T-Bob could do Parasailing.
The Gator toy came with licensed "Goodyear" rubber tires.
(read more)Gator is based on one of the iconic 80s vehicles, a Jeep CJ-7. It is orange and has colorful decals on the hood. The rims, the depth charge and the 8 exhaust pipes from the boat are finished in chrome.
Gator came with a depth charge and a laser cannon on the roll bar. The cannon is movable and can be folded onto the windshield.
This laser cannon was missing from the second wave in Germany, because no weapons were allowed to be sold with the toys. Likewise, the water bomb was renamed a light buoy.
The special thing about Gator is that it consists of 2 vehicles. The jeep body and a boat.
That is boat is not floatable!
To make the boat jump from inside Gator, which is also the transformation of Gator, you need to pull the two levers on the left and right of the body. The boat then jumps out of the interior with the help of a spring.
The boat has a flap at the stern, on which the depth charge rests. By tapping the flap, the depth charge can be dropped.
Due to the construction Gator is one of the more stable toys from MASK, here not much can break.
There were 6 stickers that had to be attached.

The boxes had some differences in different countries, even within the same country. In the same country there were changes in different years.
The EU boxes are completely different from the boxes from the other countries. So you have no back on which the toy is explained, it is just the same site as the front, only with different languages. You can see this in the boxes section. All other differences follow now. Attached are the differences for the Gator boxes.
US Box
The artwork of the box is very different from the EU box. Dusty's outfit has less details, the right hand he holds differently. The depth charge launcher looks different. On the US box you can see the ice jet of the boat.
