Switchblade is a stealth-looking helicopter that transforms into a heavily armored fighter. Switchblade is the vehicle of Miles Mayhem, the leader of V.E.N.O.M..
The toy featured Miles Mayhem wearing his Viper mask. In the first wave of toys, in the U.S., the short version of the mask was included, from the second wave the long version. From the boxes you can see which version was in which box. See below.Whereby the mask was not literally short or long. The first "short" version was completely closed in front, the second "long" version was no longer completely closed in front.
Switchblade did not have a real helicopter or fighter jet as a model.
(read more)Unlike the vehicles from Team MASK, where the design is rather colorful, Switchblade is kept in plain purple, with transparent purple roof, with few chrome parts. Only the engine and the exhaust on both sides is chrome.
In contrast to the rather plain paint, the stickers are colorful.
The helicopter has a rotor, with two rotor blades that can be rotated by pressing a button. To do this, you only need to press the button on the right side of Switchblade.
The transformation consists of several steps. First, the rotor is folded and pressed down so that the rotor blades point backwards to the tail fin. Then we fold the tail fin upwards.
When the tail fin snaps into place, the wings automatically fold out. At the front, 2 lasers shoot out of the body. Now the landing skids are folded up. The skids have 2 small buttons each, with which two more lasers are extended.
Under Switchblade is a small button with which the missile can be dropped. The missile was not included from the second wave in Germany.
The disc can be opened and closed by hand.
There were 13 stickers that had to be attached.

The boxes had some differences in different countries, even within the same country. In the same country there were changes in different years.
The EU boxes are completely different from the boxes from the other countries. So you have no back on which the toy is explained, it is just the same site as the front, only with different languages. You can see this in the boxes section. All other differences follow now. Attached are the differences for the Switchblade boxes.
US Box
The artwork of the Switchblade US box differs the most from all toys to the EU box. The artwork by Lance Anderson was not simply designed by another airbrush artist, it has been completely redrawn. The shape differs from the toy, the wings are longer, the muzzle is more pointed and longer. Decals are missing on the wings and tail. But the biggest difference is the pilot. In the US box it is not Miles Mayhem as we know him, but a very early design.
